What's Shumatsucon?

Shumatsucon is an all encompassing convention for Western and Eastern Animation, Gaming, Comics, Television, and Film taking place in Columbus, Ohio. Our goal is to make something new, and something that people will enjoy. We want to put on a good time, so that's what we're going to do. And we'd love if you'd join us for our THIRD YEAR in 2017!

The More You Know

In 2015, for Shumatsucon's first year, they had 545 people in attendance.

Shumatsucon was almost named Kanye MidWest.
Just kidding. Booking Kanye for a whole weekend would be expensive.

The mascot, Reine, is named after a kind of plum,
and wears a black cat kigurimi. This is in honor of
the Head of Artist Alley's black cat, Plum.
